Parker White Student Desk

The Parker Student Desk is what you would think of as the perfect white student desk. Simple and stylish, it blends well in almost any home setting. I should emphasize the word student because Parker made this for the kid to teen age group.  If you’re a college student or adult looking for a good place to get work done, take a closer look at these small measurements: 43.25″ x 23.75″ x 30″.  This available at Wal-Mart in the home furnishings section for $139.88.

Another child’s desk I examined at Wal-Mart was the Mainstays Student Desk-Alder.  This is another tweener for kids and teens but if you’re an adult just looking for a writing desk, this can function in that capacity as well.  At only $49, this is one of the best deals you’ll find anywhere.  Some people have complained about colors varying from box to box and there being a difficulty to put together the “easy assembly.”  Still, at $49 it is one of the cheapest student desks for sale.

One of my favorites was the black, skinny desk with metal finish at WalMart.  The problem is you need to drill and it has been reportedly hard to put together.  If you can get it assembled, it’s quite stylish and has a light feel.  It’s certainly small, but has a techish feel and works perfect for your MacBook.  This one is $34 online but I saw it in-store, on sale, for only $29.

Now that we’ve looked at some of the simpler models, let’s look at large student computer desks.  The Orion L-Shaped student desk with hutch is highlighted with black and cherry colors.  The cherry color is reserved for the desk surface with black every where else including cd tower and overhead storage compartment.  I like this study because you’ve got the option to turn to your computer or use the other side of the desk to draw or take notes.  The cd tower is a little out of date, but if you have dvds you play on your laptop, you may have a use for it.  I love the storage compartment for storing any miscellaneous items with the side shelf acting as a folder for your papers.  Last cool feature on the Orion desk is it’s not really tall so you can easily place text books on the very top so you stay uncluttered.
